Okay so my board has been open for over a month now and I've been promotion it at a lot of different promotion forums. My board is a promotion forum as well and I know there are a lot of those so I have been trying my make unique services and features so people will not think it is just the same as every other promotion site. But I still only have 16 members. I tried having a contest with a prize but that didn't work.
I need suggestions on how I can boost my members and activity.
I'd say give it time. Try submitting your button to www.thewebtower.com and any other forum promotion sites on there. Try to get some friends posting as well as yourself.... but try not to have your forum full of staff posts as this looks bad and is a sign of poor user activity. IMO: your site is not bad and is doing ok for a new site. There are that many promotion sites out there now that it may take time for users to get around and find them all. So as I said give it time.. and don't give up!
A good idea might be to affiliate with some other forums, maybe some tech support or other service forums is a good idea as your a service forum yourself.
