Need help with coding

Okay I'll try and explain this as best as I can.

Is there a way to code or have it so that, the message I have under the banner for guest will go away once members sign in? It seems pointless to me that once someone signs in they still see a message for the guest.

Also is it possible to send automatic e-mails(using invisions forums) to someone once they join. I know sometimes when I join a board I get a automatic e-mail.

EDIT- Okay I can't make the guest only code work, I don't know what I'm doing, I'm copying and pasting what is there and putting my board name where its suppose to go but its not showing up ~confuse~

I would just try it one more time but make sure you read everything.
