I need help on creating new services/unique features for promotionboss [my promotion forum], I have some great features already but I want it to be full of features my members can enjoy.
Promotion is the best thing that you can do for your forum right now. Once you have more member taking active part in discussing things around your forum, you will surely help you members out. They will love you more.
1. Start a P2P Type-of-marketplace.
2. Setup websites for your users for some amount of cash.
3. Offer hosting
4. Giveaway free vps (you need a sponsor)
5. Offer comments on their blogs
6. Start a WPMU blog.
In my opinion, these promotion type forums should have more forum categories. This way, different people have the chance to earn more points. Say I had a sports forum which I wanted to promote by buying threads/posts. I would go to your site but the main topics where I could post and earn points is the "Webmaster Talks" area. If I am a sports fan, I may not know much about this webmaster stuff. Maybe if there was a Health section or a Sports section then the sports fan would be able to contribute more. The general section is good but it contains a mixture of different posts which get cluttered up easily. Just an idea!
People actively search for new ways to promote their websites.
Starting a promotion forum is, in my opinion, much easier than other types of forums these days.
Just make it look nice, offer some free services, and it honestly will grow on its own through word of mouth.
