Need Help!

ive made a forum, its been up for like a good few months now, and still im struggling to get members on, its a forum based on conspiracies, philosophy, science, religion, society etc

seeing as this is my 1st ever website, im finding it very difficult to grab members on, let alone find memebrs that post, ive messaged people on youtube, ive made a myspace for the forum (i dont think anyone actually responds to the myspace one though)

any hints or tips for a newbie?

Another good way to get a few more people to view your website is to go to either yahoo or google and find where you can add your url to there search list. You can do this for free and they will send yahoo or google bots to crawl your site. Meaning they will gather info and some links which they will add to the search list. 90% of people who use the search only view the first 3 pages of searchs so to optimize your chances try finding topics that alot of sites dont talk about.

Google:

If you are looking to add your URL in Google you will need to do the following:


1. Visit: http://google.com/addurl
2. Enter your domain, a quick description (not sure why, maybe so they don’t think the links are spam?) and the Image verification string
3. Click submit and wait until Google crawl your site.


It is best that you get signed up with Google Webmaster Tools to take best advantage of what Google can offer you. Such things as the last time your site was crawled, sitemap reading + more.
So if you are hoping to get listed on Google, get onto the above!

Yahoo!:

Want to get your site listed within Yahoo! searches? Well make sure you do the following to take advantage of a search engine that could very well be of high advantage to your site.


1. Visit: http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html
2. Choose: Submit Your Site for Free
3. Sign up, Sign in or if already signed in with @ymail or @yahoo address you will be taken straight to “Site Explorer” and the “Add URL” screen
4. Enter your domain and click submit
5. Wait for Yahoo! to explore your site


Thats it. It is pretty simple to get this done although you do need to be signed up to any Yahoo! based site. There are a few links all over the place too. So just make sure you are clicking on the right ones.

I have tried Yahoo and Google,but that has not made any difference for my forum either.No luck promoting.
