I need ideas for a new forum.

I don't want:
promotion related
gaming related
sports related

other than that let your brain run wild and start throwing out everything.

The major issue is that you don't know. How can one be dedicated to a forum when they, themselves cannot think of something they want to make? Maybe owning a forum isn't your thing, but I wouldn't go one others' suggestions as it probably won't be something you would want to do in the long run.

Go with something that you enjoy doing as a hobby. Or just enjoy doing.

Yes, it has always been the idea behind it, so it never attracts enough members, if any at all.

Do what your heart tells you when it comes to a theme. That's what usually happens to me when I start up a forum. Don't expect people to give ideas to you. That's how the music industry corrupted (*cough*Aaron Carter*cough*).
