Can anyone recommend me any descent specs for a comp to run HD graphic games?

any price will do just haven't been in the loop for awhile and would like to know whats out there!

What games do you plan on playing?
What settings do you want on them?(Low, medium, high, extra high?)
What's your budget?

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/ seems to have okay prices on AMD gaming PCs.

Alienware X51 Ubuntu Gaming PC cost $599 at http://www.alienware.com/ubuntu/ because you don't need to buy Windows since it uses the free Ubuntu OS which works with Steam for Linux, playing Linux games, and playing Windows games with WineHQ, and PlayOnLinux.

You'll save money by building your own Gaming PC, but you need to put it together yourself, buy(if you choose Windows over Free Linux OS) and install the operating system, and software yourself which can be hard for beginners, but there are many tutorials on YouTube and other sites for building computers.

If you already have a pretty good PC with a Multi-Core 2.0-4.0 GHz CPU, 4GB or more RAM, PCI-Express x16 expansion port, and a 500W or higher wattage power supply, you may be able to just buy a Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 video card, and play many PC games from Steam, and other PC games from different companies.

Most games on Steam tell you the minimum, and recommended system requirements at the bottom of the download page.

You can also use http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri to see what games your computer can run.

For the love of God...don't buy alienware.

What do you recommend then Jake?

I actually think Alienware is okay, I Remember when it first came out it was like the cream of the crop "as when things do first come out"

Alienware Is overpriced, the last time I looled you could build a pc with same specs for half the price.

Alienware is more expensive, but since it is owned by Dell, you are have Dell technical support, and a warranty if something breaks.

You also get a cool looking case with the Alienware logo, and colored lights to make your PC case look like an Alien space craft.

The reviews for the X51 at http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-x51/ ... ReviewsTab are pretty positive with an average of 4/5 stars, so they can run games well enough for the price where people give them 4/5 stars.

Building your own Gaming PC would be the best bang for your buck since you save money by building a PC yourself. But, you need to deal with hardware problems, computer parts store exchanges if something breaks, and software problems related to Windows yourself.

I'd strongly recommend not bothering with Alienware. You're only paying for the brand name.

I'd probably have someone build it for you. What's your budget?
