Need some hints for promoting .

I have a domain that is of .biz And i don't want to waste it . My forum has low stats currently . It is :

Members connected during last 24 hours : Eduardo, khubaib_95, Mystic_gohan, nolvorite
Most users ever online was 7 on Sun 5 Apr 2009 - 21:17
Our users have posted a total of 1000 messages

We have 79 registered users

The newest registered user is kieulinh

This are very bad stats , i need some hints so i can get people registering and posting not only registering .

Do a posting competition, and offer real prizes. Then advertise it to no end, and you're bound to see results.

A TLD, Amazon Gift Card, something that has value that the winner will receive for free. It should be used in the competition as an incentive to post.

You could offer something else that is without value (money wise), such as VIP status or something, but your activity will hardly move.

If you are good at graphics, you can make a contest which the winner will get a design made by you.

No. No one will participate if that's the prize. Not everyone on your forum owns a forum, so it would be unfair, making a large group of people not participate. Also, if they are posting more than you, why can't they just post on their own forum?

Don't just advertise on promotion forums, because they will only get you so far. Put some incentive to post at some other forums (preferably ones with a similar genre to yours), make some friends and lead them over.

It's tough work, but they're more likely to become active than anybody here.

Is this the only forum you are on? Be on other forums and promote it in your signature. I had it on my signature on a forum with around 300 000 members and so I got the word around quick. Soon, people started asking questions etc. That can get people interested and thus get you members.

However, what goes inside your forum is dependent on you. You can expect members to post. They can just sign up and do nothing. You must entice them and give them a good reason to post. If its just your normal type forums, they may as well go to and established forum to do that.

I don't see a link to your forum in your signature. Maybe thats why no one knows about your forum. What about in your profile? Fill that up and people will know a little more about you and your forum. These little things do contribute and will have a long term effect. Add an image (signature), do some exchanges, and get the word around. Other than that, you can't expect anything to come out of the blue 🙂

Good idea, BUT how do you advertise this is...no one is on your forum lol....Need details on where to advertise this....and advertising on other forums is prohibited. i know from personal experience haha

Some forums allow signature advertising and even have sections for posting ads. Anyway, people never go to a forum when you break the rules to advertise it.

right but the thing is most forums you would want to expose yourself on do not allow this....and if Im wrong then please by all means post a list of ones that allow this.
