need some to tips

hiya i needs some tips on promoting my site i have just started my own mobile phone forum were you can download screensavers, wallpapers, tones and themes for your mobile.I only started doing the site on 10th october. the only member on ther at the moment are me and annother admin. I am the only one posting.Thought i would get a few bits up before promoting it.

Just make sure that you don't have the same forum as everyone else. By that I mean, unique skin for forums, awesome graphics usually help too. Your forum should be as appealing as possible. I know that sounds basic but most people skip past that. Also check out this post for more help.

if looked properly just above shout box on the right hand side ther are coloured boxes wer u can changed the colour of the skin yourself

I think it's all about finding a "niche" you know? Meaning that your forum finds its own little spot in the cosmos where no other forum quite does the same thing that you do. They might do something really similar but not quite the same. But not only does it have to be unique, it has to be something that's got at least SOME appeal to some folks. I think you have that already, who doesn't want some free screensavers for their phones! Most people will be coming for the free stuff in your case so I'd just keep on adding freebies ^_^

how long does it normaly take for search engines to pick your site up

Usually a week or two after I submit to places I start to see the bots. Atleast with google thats usually how it is.

my site has been up and runng since th 5th october and i dont seem to be getting any guests veiwing at the moment.Although i have done loads of advertising today. so we shall see how it all goes.
