Heres the deal, I am starting a Team Fortress 2 server (a very popular video game). They run around $15-25 per month depending on how many slots.
I was looking for a donation of around $50-$100 to help pay for 3-6 months (depending on how big the donation, the more the months). We can see from there how it goes. I can pick up a 16 slot server for 3 months at $56. So a $56 donation would be perfect so we can test out those 3 months.
But basically the server will be seen by ANYONE who plays TF2. If they join the server players will see a MOTD (mod of the day) screen which shows any text I want. So naturally I can link back to your website in the MOTD, service or w/e. I can include a picture (images) in it as well. So the possibilty of hundreds of people a day seeing this.
I will also throw up a "sponsored by" link on the homepage (we will have a website too) and forums. If you dont know, clan websites build up fast. You will get a lot of exposure. If you have a video game related website or something along those lines, this is a great steal. I know how to market websites too (i do it for a living) so your not just sponsoring some kid who wants a game server and is going to make a crap clan site. I know what im doing!
Also if you play TF2 i will give you admin in the server.
