Need Suggestions? (forum creation)

Well another person has came towards me asking to create a forum with him. But I thought thorougly about this and he said if I were to create a name for it and a slogan which I have he would drive the forums in hte correct direction. So basically it is I that is creating the forum and running it but he will drive it in the correct direction, but I kinda do believe him but this could be a scam just to make a successful forum but I know I could still run the myself, so details about it below.

But there is a domain name, open-source.org but would that effect my community, if so could you give name suggestions which are unique that revolve around forum creation and admin discussion.

It will obviously include open admin discussion, CMS discussion, software and domain discussion, web-design discussion all the basics, but what discussion would you love to see and would bribe you into joining also which features would you love to see?

Most likely MyBB or SMF hosted.

Ok, so far I have this planned and highly need opinions.

Ok, so I am in way of creating a new general discussion forum, and quickly just re-named it after Open Source Discussion, it would be a sisterly site to the webmaster OSD(Open Source Discussion), but I need help should I try and mend a general community with the name OSD and try to make webmaster the second main topic on the board other than general or should I scrap the whole webmaster forum and focus on this general discussion. Sorry if I am not making sense, quite tired. Also before you ask Creative Junction ain't going to be created for a few months on.

Hmmm, this is tough. First off I wouldn't trust the person unless you know him 100% and you know he's reliable.

If he is then go along.

My advice, just give this forum your 100%. If you don't have any ideas and you're desperate for ideas, then I don't think you're ready to run this forum because you won't be putting your soul into it. If you have your own UNIQUE ideas and you just want a little feedback, then go right ahead and create your forum and I wish you the best of luck!

To be honest I don't know if I can trust the guy, because he keeps signing in on MSN constantly asking is the forum ready, so I pretty much think that it is a scam just to get good riddance out of me.

I mean I could try getting this forum together and a team but it raised upon me that I may as well be better creating a general discussion board but with some twists and turns, but thanks for the advice Kino.

Decided to come ahead and create a new unique general chat forum. Open Source Discussion will not be the name as it relates to coding and I have no knowledge to that. Thanks to all who helped this can be locked.
