Do you allow negative or neutral reputation to be given on your forum?

No, only positive. I see no reason for negative rep in the first place, but I see many ways that can be misused.

I don't use reputation, but if/when I do, it would just be positive.

We don't have a rep system, but a 'Like' feature. It's very similar and widely used.

if rep existed, positive would only be allowed to avoid any bad impressions.

If IPB allowed it by default, I would but since I don't and I'm using IPB4 and there isn't an addon (that I know about at least) for that I can't.

Being on free hosting, we do not have the rep mod added. However, even if we were on advanced hosting again, I still wouldn't add this mod, especially after all the abuse issues they had here on FP a few years back with people abusing the rep system in general. That alone would keep me away from that mod.

Negative rep's encourage members to carry animosity towards each other. I've seen it happen before.

I have a XenForo forum and we use a "Like" button system.

I think negative reputation is just a way for members to get back at another member. In some ways it can be useful, like ratings, etc. and I can see the benefit of it. However negative reputation itself is just something I won't ever be using.

Reading this has actually inspired me to remove negative &neutral reputation on my forum.

It causes nothing but conflicts in between members.
