Nerdie Media
Review by Geoffrey
Design Quality
The design of your site is certainly up to par with current design trends. I would expect no less from a site that offers to build websites for clients. The page flows well and you have a nice set up for a one-page website. With that said, this feels like a cookie-cutter site - a template you bought and added without much customization. I don't see much that makes Nerdie Media stand out from any other site using the same popular design trends as you. While your design is certainly excellent, your branding and the uniqueness of your design aren't the best. It looks like there is a faded image background at the top of the page. Maybe you can add something more branded to your site/business and also make that image more visible/less faded?
Good
Business Aspects
You make it clear early on for the average browser what your site is about and what services you provide. On the "Services" section of your site, I suggest telling more about what you do and give some more examples of each of your services. Show me a specific site or app you have developed, something you've designed, what specific results you've achieved with SEO, who you've helped sell a website, etc. rather than just telling what the service is. Convince me that you are the right choice for my needs by showing me you can deliver quality results.
On that same note, I also think you should show more in your "Projects" section. I see three spots, each linking directly to their respective sites. All you have is an image/screenshot of the site, the site title and a one line description of the site. Talk more about what you have done for each one, what specific services you've rendered for the site, etc. I suggest for each service you offer, you have a project that specifically connects to that service. Make those connections and sell me.
Unfortunately, the Projects section right now looks more like an advertisement section for your sites rather than examples of your projects and what you can provide.
Poor
Spelling & Professionalism
I've noticed little spelling/grammar errors on your site, though I have noticed at least one. On the SEO section of your Services block, "expertscan" needs a space added. Other than that, I don't see any glaring issues in spelling/grammar.
Moving on to more pressing issues: professionalism. While your design (as mentioned) is certainly above average and shows you know top design trends, the content on your site does not impress me and does not model professionalism in my opinion. First, as mentioned, the Projects section seems just like a plug for your sites rather than showing what you can do. The "5,200 paper airplanes made" stat is cute, but I don't see the relevance to your site. If your design incorporated paper airplanes or your logo was a paper airplane - anything to tie that in - I wouldn't have an issue with it. This stat just seems random and "filler" to take up that 4th slot in your stats row.
Additionally, your "Our Team" section is one that I especially do not like for professionalism reasons. You are offering some serious services and likely talking about some big money. I would like to see a picture other than a generated pixel avatar for each of your team members. When you use titles like "Chief _ Officer" then I expect to see you - not a graphic rendering of what might be you. Seeing this would convince me not to use your services, regardless of what else I liked on the site.
Poor
Final Remarks
You're offering some good services and have a decent design to work with. You need to work on your personal branding and how you present yourself and your team to professionalize your business.
