Nes classic mini anyone have one?

Ok, so those of you who know me know that I don't usually trust buying electronics on places like Amazon. Well after successfully getting a game boy color from a classmate/friend of mine, I got interested in the Nintendo NES CLASSIC MINI. However, these things are insanely expensive at places like Walmart or Best Buy. Heck, they're probably expensive at stores that specializes in video games like GameStop even! So my mom and I went on Amazon to find a cheaper one. The one I got is one of the knock-offs, with 620 games and a majority of them being repeats under different titles, but I freaking LOVE this thing. I was a bit miffed about it not being authentic at first, but now I'm totally in love with it! In no specific order, here are my favorite games to play on here:

Excite Bike
Mario 12 (I think this one is better known as Yoshis Cookie)
Can't remember if it's looney tunes or tiny toons, but I like volume 2 of that
Super Mario Bros
Galaga
Galaxian
Pac Man
Tetris 2
Championship Bowling

Overall I love it. My biggest fear is it was going to be a "try before you buy" kind of thing where you'd be lucky if you get to play only one or two levels. So I was pleased it let's you play the whole thing of a game, even though I haven't beaten any yet lol. My only other gripe is because this is a knock-off, there's no way to save your progress and continue where you left off.

Would I recommend this? Hey, as long as you don't mind repeat titles and don't mind not being able to continue where you left off, then heck yeah! The controllers cooperating with you can be hit and miss at best, but if you look past the cons, and in for the nostalgia as I am, and definitely not a serious collector with games, this could in all honesty be your best bet.

I have a NES Classic (and an actual NES), and I agree, it's well worth owning one, so many classic games for such a great console. I flashed mine so it has the full NES library on it, absolutely love it!

I haven't gotten one of these mini's. I remember the original NES was the first console I ever had and played on. My parents bought one for the whole family to play on when I was a kid.

Original one was one of my first TV consoles as well. As I said though, the mini I have is a knock-off (not an authentic Nintendo product) so there's lots of duplicate titles and no way to save your progress, but I love it all the same

Update, as of January 13, 2022, I have had this for 4 months and IT STILL WORKS!!!!!! I've read reviews where the knock-offs usually quit working after a month or two of purchase

I debated on the snes as I never had that one growing up, but I decided to stay with what I knew.

Update, as of January 13, 2022, I have had this for 4 months and IT STILL WORKS!!!!!! I've read reviews where the knock-offs usually quit working after a month or two of purchase

I mean I'd rather DIY an emulation box using retropie and a no-intro set, the knockoffs are terrible.

Then again I want a famicom and a flashcart.
