Never,ever, use ipbfree. It has way too many bugs. Of course It has many cool features such as store,army system,blogs,shoutboxes,etc.... but it is so hard to use. I was looking all over the internet for a premade skins since it is too hard to make your own. It took forever and the only one that worked stunk. I tried poweresources.hostingfun.com but it kept saying ewrror everytime I tried to download and yes I had an account. I tried another one and it was too confusing. So I gave up and tried to ask for one on the support forums. I went there and joined and every tiem i logged in it said thank you for logging in blahblahblah and it took me back to the index. I wasnt logged in... I tried a million more times and it didnt work. So I went back to my forum to just try to deal with the default but it looks so darn ugly. If I can just have a good skin and someone tell me how to install it or if someone can direct me to a host just like this one but with less bugs I will not scream hell out of me.
When I was looking for a forum that had good MODs I used IPBfree and found nothing wrong with it. If you are having problems, host your own forum. You can get free hosting from Trap17 (Don't use small companies, I learned that the hard way) and upload phpbb or SMF.
I have always used Invisionfree or a free phpbb board, never had a go with IPBfree, maybe you should try another type of board if thats not working out for you?
As far as IPB hosts go they are one of the best around and one of the safest. much more feature rich and safer then IF although everybody still seems to think IF is the best thing to happen to the internet.
IPBfree is much better than Invisionfree in my opinion. I've just moved my forum from IF to IPBfree, and I do not regret it one bit. My members are also pleased with the change.
