New board - Use ads?

You can try learning about ads, and see which ad colors look best on your forum.

But, you need traffic to make a decent amount of money unless you already have a lot of traffic on your new board.

I wouldn't to start off with. Build the community first and concentrate on that. If you do add some ads, ensure that you do not over do the ads and plaster them everywhere.

You need a decent amour of traffic for ads to be worth it. I have 100-300 uniques daily, and yet the ads were more of a hassle than the pennies I was making per day.

Don't add then until your forum becomes popular, then add maybe a few, to pay for revenue.

Are you able to advertise it to make at least 50 uniques per day and rising? If so, then yes, you should add ads. If not, then a small one won't hurt, maybe in between the first and second posts, but don't go overboard with it though.

I wouldn't add ads for a new forum or go to a new forum that has ads (Unless it's freeforums etc).
