We are always looking for ways to improve FP and make it even better. That is why we started the "Your Favourite & Least Favourite Thing About FP". It allows us to see what is good here and what isn't. Based on feedback from that topic, it has allowed us to focus our attention where you have said needs it the most.
From that topic it became clear that users wanted more to do with their FP cash. Users also found that it was becoming worthless. Due to the old cash mod we were using, it made it hard for us to integrate anything with it due to the fact it was an old version of a no longer supported mod. We have now converted the cash mod to a support mod which is alot more advanced and less buggy then the previous mod we used. Additionally people were not happy with the lack of updates, hopefully this will be deemed as a big update and will lead to further updates.
Some of the features it now provides is logging of all donations, a lottery which draws every 48 hours and also allows us to integrate more with the cash system. It will now allow us in the near future to add a store mod to the forum to give you more to spend your FP cash on. We will also hopefully be introducing more ways to spend your cash. In the mean time we have an official lottery that all users can participate in - points.php?mode=lottery Tickets cost 10 FP cash and it is drawn every 48 hours. The winner of that draw will then scoop the whole jackpot. Additionally your cash total now shows at the top left of all pages. This makes it easier for you to know how much FP cash you have. Clicking the amount of cash you have (top left) or by clicking the underlined (FP Cash) when viewing a topic, will both take you to the points section where you can see logs of donations in and out of your account as well as other things. Additionally to slightly make less cash available in the forum and to help make FP cash slightly more worthwhile, you now earn 4FP cash per new topic instead of 5. We may change this in future but with what we have coming in the future, it should be enough to make cash more worthwhile.
You earn cash in all forums expect "New to FP" and "Forum Fun".
As this is a big change to the forum, there no doubt will be issues. Please inform is of any issues you may encounter with this mod. All users cash has been converted over to the new mod so no one has lost anything. We have backups of the db so we can check :yes: There may be changes to the cash system as we tweak it in order to make the FP cash more worthwhile for everyone.
