Martin Luther King, Jr. - A Father of Black Nationhood
Martin Luther King, Jr. was born in the year 1929 to a well to do Black Christian family. In his adult life, he founded the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and emerged as the chief leader of the non-violent movement for racial equality in the United States.

Scam Artists Hurt Nigeria's Image
There's an old Hausa proverb in Nigeria that says, "If you don't like the way the moon rise, then get up there and change it."

Go To The Front
"Surely the future of every nation is based on its youth. But not upon all of them -no- not upon every individual, but on the intellectual ones, the educated ones with good character, good manners, and zeal," so said Ibrahim Niasse, a modern reformer in Senegal.

Editorial: Defending Barutiwa in Nigeria
He was questioned about his relationship with my newspaper and whether or not he's a spy. He was asked how long he had known me and why he is writing for my publication.

Editorial: Iran-Iraq Friendship Pact
One of the major influences which finally convinced the leaders of the two countries that they could not establish a friendly relationship with the United States was the 1992 speech by Martin Indyk to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), an offshoot of the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee. In this secret speech, Indyk, now the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, former director of the WINEP and member of the National Security Council, told his audience his plans to control the Mideast for Israel.

Does Islam Forbid The Smoking of Cigarettes
African-Americans generally labor under the misconception that to be a Muslim one must follow a horde of un-realistic rules and procedures. Unfortunately this happens because there are many ignorant African-American Muslims who end up controlling the local mosque via intimidation of the weaker following.

Editorial: Hard Times Ahead
I read in the Kiplinger Washington Letter that businesses will have to cut back on unnecessary expenses and eliminate debt in order to survive in the face of increased global competition.

Editorial: Remembering Cynthia Wiggins
The issue that ultimately surfaced was how much did racism play in not allowing the No. 6 to route through the Walden Galleria Mall, since it (the Walden Galleria Mall) caters to the all-white affluent suburban neighborhoods of Amherst and Toronto, Canada.
