Good work. But you should have a background for container or make it less transparent. Currently the text is readable, but i get tired of reading it after a couple of topics.
You should try to make a theme for forum like your blog's design.

I did have but people weren't happy with it as the css wasn't quite right at that time for larger resolutions which it is now.

I get the concept you are going with but the transparent boards on the background doesn't look well at all. And as other say it's not easy to read.
