It's not simple to get a forum going, especially when the owner barely shows any enthusiasm towards it... You have to invest blood and tears, and even cash for it to be taken seriously!

This may sound harsh, but if you don't like the forum, it would be a good idea to close it down. Unless and only if you are really enthusiastic about the niche, you should not be running a forum about it.

If you are not addicted to your forum, on every day you may as well close it.

why, don't give up so fast.

we start form zero and work slowly toward our goal to get more members and make our forum grow.

You created a forum and really expected it to be successful just by making it.

You came here for support and made 1 entire post.

That lack of effort, alone, is why your forum failed.

+1 :great:

You need desire, dedication, drive for a forum to work. Most forums close within 6 months. Advertise your forum, get content on the board. You have a music, site, just take that passion for music and start creating content. Ask your close friends and family to join and add to your site.

One thing, never ever let anyone see your weakness, you have already shown 1000s of people you are ready to toss in the towel, this right here drives potential members away at the get go.

The best way for a site to grow is for its owner to simply enjoy creating it. Unless you are a huge business or affiliated with a large well known global site you will not grow from 1 member to 100 members over night.

Do not take stat posts that you see as literal, there is a truth in numbers than many site owners simply fail to admit. All you need to do is focus on the site and the stats will come later.

Do not offer Admin or Mod to just anyone, lots of weasels out there. Your staff should be dedicated members and or friends your know. Your team should have the same passion for the board as well.

Have fun, enjoy your creation but if you are done before you even start then, as it was mentioned above, close it down.

I will say, there are many owners of sites out there who are better suited to be members or staff of boards vice running one. Ask yourself, why did you start the site, is there no other site out there that you would enjoy? Competing against estabvlished sites is tough and required vigor for the long hall.
