I'm currently using IP.Board + all of their apps to run my forum. Just in case it is relevant.
I own a self-help/Q&A/Tutorial forum with a few off topic chats (they don't clutter up the "new content" area as I would personally find that annoying). I am wanting to know what ideas you have.
I have changed my forum type to a "help me code" "help me design" "review" "tutorial" site. It is a sort of club for members to join. 🙂
IPS is coming out with their "4.0 Social Suite" which will contain a Q&A option to forums which I will be using once it comes out...so I am waiting until it comes out to add that to my forum. For now everything is moderated in my "Help Box" section (except for my posts since I am admin) as that was the only way I could think of to keep the posts relevant, on topic, and with good information.
