New mods!!!

Today I have installed some new mods to the forum for every to enjoy.

The first one is the Cash Mod where you get Virtual cash everytime you post. You get 2 for a reply and 5 for a new topic. These points can't be used to buy anything yet but in the future they will. We do need to update each users cash total individually as every user had 0 cash and we will update every users cash as we see them so don't worry if it says you have 0. You can also donate cash to other users if you wish.

Secondly when you submit your post you will no longer get that screen saying your post has entered successfully and it will straight away redirect you to your post which is less annoying and it is much quicker.

There will be more mods being added soon hopefully. -8)-

In Hong Kong, it is just a VERY common thing.

I'm just letting you know to save you time, you don't have to adjust my cash to the posts I have. I'm willing to start at 0 even though I have loads of posts. Just want to make it a bit easier for you. I know how hard mods are to install in the first place. No need to add on more work for you ~wink~ -😉- -🙂-

I have already done your cash. I have done must recent active users. It only takes a second to do each user anyway.

WoW!! my attention was drawn here when i received the newsletter stating that a new mod was installed which takes you straight to your posts after posting, now this has bugged me here for a long time, the process of posting was made hard by that but glad you guys have done something about it.

As for the points systems.. its a great idea..its just another way to reward members for posting.
Resetting everyones points manually must be a pain here, on IPB you have what you call a point recounter, which recount the current members points to the amount of posts they have easily..one touch job.
dont you have that on phpbb?

Unfortunately no not at the moment. It probably will come up later but nearly all the mods are new and not as advanced as they will be over time as every thing is new including the forum software as it is not even classed as stable yet as it is still a Release candidate.

That posting message was annoying me aswell so i went searching for a mod to stop it. Glad you like it.

For the time being we are able to see who donates and steals from other uses so we can restore any taken but it will be fixed in a later version of this mod.

I have looked for a mod although I haven't found anything. I might have to look for a javascript code to add to the template. I will see what i can do. -happy-

Wow, this change will make a big difference; that screen always annoyed the heck out of me (especially since I have such a slow loading computer, lol).

Cash/donate idea is a great idea, too!

I have also added a topic template mod so now everytime you start a new topic in the advertising forum the posting template will already be in the post for you to just add your forums details. This way less posts will be trashed and it is easier for everyone -🙂-

I always hated those redirect screens! and earning cash may be more incentive for people to post if they know they can eventually use it for things..
