New New Zycodia Homepage Proposal

I like this a lot better. But will there be posts like in a blog format or will it just be an order your design type of thing?

I quite like. I do hope you have some mouseover thing over the text and logo. However, the preview image seems to stand out a little too much, though not too sure on how to fix that.

Just an order your design type of thing. 🙂
Aww, it'd be cool to see you post tutorials and stuff for budding designers too. 😛

The slider images are not permanent. The logo and branch-bird illustration will turn green when rolled over. The branch-bird illustration will, obviously, link to our twitter page.

I liked the old images you had at the bottom, but I like this layout better.

I think the design will seem a lot more attractive with its rollover and slider functionalities.

Also, the site itself, aside from the slider images, looks really dull. Like in a sense of it's not web 2.0 ish I guess... I don't know how to explain it.
EDIT: The text and background just look faded, will this be more colorful on the final design, or no?

I know what you mean. Nothing is glossy or shiny... no reflections or what not. The issue is that, quite frankly, glossy and shiny images, reflections, and 'web 2.0' as you think of 'web 2.0' is really overrated, and, startling as it may seem, simplistic designs such as this one are actually in high demand. Additionally, many of our clients are slightly older than most Forum Promotion users, and, for this reason, glossy and shiny images do not appeal to them.

In response to your edit, the logo, text, and illustration are purposely light, but as far as quality is concerned, coded designs always look better than PNG files. The rollover effect will add color to the design, as well.

OK, now that I look at it. It looks like a part of the site where you would click on a preview image and it would pop up. I just personally think it looks odd. I would've expected it to be a bit more colorful.

Quite honestly, I can't make head or tail out of what you just said. 😛 If you're referring to the lack of pixil-perfect quality in the design, that will be vastly improved in the coded version. In any case, I have to get going.

Wow, neither can I. I'll try and sort out what I want to say later. xD

I agree. Web 2.0 is about 4-5 years old. Its nothing new, and things like Web 2.0 based sites and sites are really old stuff. Minimalism is one of the newest trends, but not the old type of minimalism. Something bold and too the point is back in.

I like 7.2 a lot better. The images aren't so big and in your face.
