Definitely doing it. They've announced a lot of the cast already. I'm keeping my options open until I see it even if there is a lot of backlash about the actor playing Snape.
I'm not a fan of JK Rowling so I wouldn't be watching this on HBO max. If I do get around to watching it, I'll just say it won't be on a streaming service where she can get any of my money!
I can definitely understand. I hate her with vengeance and I'm just glad she doesn't visit New Zealand or she would get a massive protest.
When I watch the movies I try to separate that insert any number of words here from the films but I can understand your reasons.
I'm interested in seeing how they're going to do this series justice. I grew up loving the Harry Potter series as a kid and still enjoy it today (JK Rowling sucks though). I liked that the movies added other little things to add depth to the already established series of books, but it was at the expense of important plot points from the books that left things unexplained. Hopefully the TV show can find a nice balance between the two since they'll have more flexibility with it. I feel like I heard that each season is supposed to go along with each book though, so it worries me that the first season is only slated to be 8 episodes.
Oh yeah you're definitely good with separating the art from the artist. I usually do the same too lol. I sort of want to check it out but at the same time I'm also worried that the series isn't going to be as good as the movies. Either way if I do she won't be getting a pence from me lol. (I would say penny but I think their pence is similar to the US penny. :V)
I was wondering who they would be getting to do Professor Flitwick in the tv series. I was glad when they announced that Warrick Davis was reprising the role.
The character professor or the actor? The actor played 3 different roles in the movies and I didn't know it until after the last one 🙂
Warwick Davis is doing the professor again but a different actor is doing the bank teller Griphook that Warwick did in the first film.
Lots of money when the source content is already completely written rather than anyone ever using any original ideas nowadays. 😛
Plus they missed a lot out of the books in the films.
I have seen that image on Facebook, and at the time, I always thought it was just a mistake or a mockup. I wouldn't even think that this so-called new series would be any good compared to the film, then again might be interesting.
