Hey everyone, I'm working on a new project that I need help testing and brainstorming ideas for.

I've only put in about 3 hours of work on this, so it's still very early in production (if I even continue with it). I am doing something along the lines of FraudRecord, but since they have not released any updates or news since 2012, I have begun developing this from the ground up.

For now, I am hosting it on a subdirectory.

That's interesting. Will you have IPs exposed, or are those just for the private reports to you?

More then likely it will be a public record thing - This is mostly for Web hosting companies to report people that fraud them so when they go and signup at the next place they get Dinged and the new host does not get the same treatment. So you will have to have an account with his service to see the information - FraudRecord became a huge hit but slowly died off I didnt follow it close enough to tell you why - could be team dynamics, pricing, competition. At the time of it creation, there were a lot of frauds happening all at once and many web hosting companies were battling it out to keep those type of people off the services.

I remember back in the day when I created a service like this, the first people to signup were always the worst.

Reports will expose names, emails, IP address, etc of those individuals reported. This system is typically for online hosts and similar businesses where combing through clients is needed.

How do you go about confirming to avoid false reports?

Hopefully I will be able to incorporate threat levels like FraudRecord has which will allow businesses to make a decision based on reports. I’ll try to add a method to contact the reporting business too if users are found to be in the reporting system. Just like fraud record, there isn’t really a “confirmation” of reports. Users can work with the reporting party to get reports removed or if you can’t, then contact us for support.

I’m open to brainstorming and ideas on what you’d find beneficial or helpful.

Level 1 = 1-2 reports on the same person
level 2 = 3-4 reports
level 3 = 5-6 reports
level 4 = 7+

after 7 reports like PetalsBot is a well known character and should not get services.

I have also created an admin panel that will display all reports to the admin. Has the ability to search records and view history, along with the option to delete. So if the admin decides that the report shall be deleted, the admin can simply push a button, and it will be gone.

I have also transitioned the whole thing to www.FraudClient.com. All other updates will be reflected on that domain.

I know yall were talking about privacy on the recent reports, so I have changed it a bit:

This is fantastic work! I hope it helps those who own hosting services to crack down on scammers.

While I do understand that there are services way better such as MaxMind and Fraudster, this service will allow more elaborate reports for people to read and get an understanding of clients/users

This idea seems like a lot of work; you would have to actively get people to actually use your service and submit reports or you have a hidden database with 1,000+ reports from USHost247 i'm not aware of. I'm not sure having "elaborate reports" are gonna lead to conversions: you're obviously going have to offer something unique or cheaper compared to those other established sites you mentioned.

Otherwise, maybe this advice is moot since this is just an MVP, the design is really bad for your website--I can tell it's bootstrap from just one look.

Appreciate your feedback. There wouldn’t be any charge for the service. It’s meant to be basic and simple. I’ve also only just started on it couple days ago. 😛

Edit: I do realize this will be a huge amount of work and ultimately only be useful if people use it. I’m not looking for conversions for services, simply a tool for people to use.
