Hey everyone, I wanted to create this topic as I know many of you are regular review requesters. As of 3:30PM EST 10/21/09, new review prices have been instated. If you placed your request before this time, the old prices will be honored. The main pricing difference is a minimal charge of 25FP$ for Quick Reviews. Quick Reviews were previously a free service, but this became difficult for a few reasons.
1. We often saw the same forums request week after week for Quick Reviews due to their free price. They often had made no changes or very little ones.
2. The reviewers were not compensated for these reviews when they were free. While it may not seem like a huge deal to do a quick review, when reviews are highly piled up, reviewers have to work hard and it's only fair a fee is collected for such a service.
3. Quick reviews were beginning to greatly outnumber full review requests.
I do not want you to think that by doing this we're being greedy. This will help everyone who requests a review.
1. 25FP$ is a very minimal amount of FP$.
2. This will help ensure only necessary requests are submitted, as people will think more before submitting a request. So how does that help you? It will cut down on the number of those requests, meaning YOUR review gets done faster, is not rushed, and in turn is of higher quality.
So we don't have such a small gap between review tiers, Full Reviews are also now 55FP$ which is a tiny increase, and really should not affect anyone who is requesting a review.
