Interesting idea, but most of the time people just delete or ignore those as we always know whats in them.

I don't really think much of this. The link will be shown only once to a very small amount of people. Something at the top of the PM folders would be more better as every time you get a PM you will see these.

I agree with both statements. We will, in the future, generate this service into something way bigger. Cosmic and I are cooking up ideas with it to bring it into the new promotion scene.

Putting it in the top of the PM folders will make it cluttered as we want to offer links and descriptions, not just a link.

Why not show the links and have the descriptions as mouseovers?

Because o the fact it lessens the chance o your description being read and thus recivieng less traffic. Most people will pass it off as another ad. But in a welcome PM they will read it because they have no idea an ad will be there. Their brain woulden't have known to block it out.

How long will these welcome PM's be for and how many members usually sign up in that time?

Ah good question 🙂

Welcome PMs are added for a week. In the ACP it says we get 5 users per day. The total number of unread welcomes in my outbox is 2. So that tell you something.

Hmm... I don't really think people would be interested in getting this service as it will less likely be noticed. Anyways, nice idea but it could be improved.
