It's not supposed to be professional, the reason I chose that font for the banner was because it standed out. The scruffy letters work well with the eroded stripes in the background and the backwards "n" (which was created by the font author) is just an extra bit of fun...adds more of a unique touch ~smile~

I like the banner, simple but effective. The content is focused more upon with the template and banner complimenting the board.

I can see how it would be viewed as unproffesional on the logo of the site. I'm glad to see MhW has a sense of humor though ~lol~

I like that font, and it looks good with the colors. Normally I use that font (which I had before I ever saw this style) for dark rust. Good to se eit can be used in different ways ~smile~

It is strange because it is so different... Use it for a few days and you will get used to it and you will look back at the old template and think that the forum is strange with that and looks better with the new one.

I agree, this template is so much better. It makes me want to visit more. The old template seems really boring now!

I love this style, it is just nice and clean. The old one was getting very boring and it was the perfect time for a change.

No one is expected to just get used to it in the first couple of days.

Heya guys, I've been off this place for a month and a half.

Love the new style, Murder he Wrote. Glad to have been of assistance with a little bit of the PHP stuff. ~razz~

One concern of mine...why are the emoticons that used to be dark blue now light blue? I do hate that...they look like they're pale.

Actually the script you provided proved quite inconvenient, so I used a different (but similar) one from phpBB.com and used a small bit of help from Spyka with the live forum stats.

Thanks for the good feedback though. With reference to the emoticons we had to change them as the older ones were made for a dark skin and therefore had a black crispy border. It just so happens that the designer made the ones for the light skin...lighter so seeing as they were made externally we didn't really have much choice over the matter.
