New to foums.

Hey, Guys, I run a good number of sites/domains but in all my years of doing this (Hobby) I've never created a forum.

So a couple of days ago I decided to create a small gaming forum (TheGameForum), I soon ran into a problem. Where would I find staff to help with the running of the site, Where would I find people to join my site & how would I create user created content/posts.

So does anyone have any suggestions or places to look to get my forum from shuffling to crawling then eventually running.

My best advice is to try and get some friends you have to join the forums to get some initial activity going. You could also use some of your friends to help as staff members if they are interested, but since you are just starting out, you won't need a whole lot of moderators and staff anyways. In terms of finding people to join your forums, that takes some time and persistence. You can certainly advertise it on places like Forum Promotion and other promotion sites, but some good discussions need to cultivated on your site for people to actually join up and want to get in on the conversations.
