New Twitch Affiliate Looking To Grow Community

Hey everyone. I recently got back into streaming again big time. For affiliate in under two months and now striving to grow more. I wanna make this a career. My first goal in this though is to start making enough money to pay for new pc and TV(literally broke my tv night prior to this post, 44inch fell on my head). But my biggest is to use twitch and eventually YouTube to fund me and my fiancé’s wedding. We been struggling a bit since covid started as it seems we get hit with bad luck every time something good hits us. Come check out my channel and let’s build a community together!

Good luck, that's all I can say. It's not easy making money from it. 14 months of me being an affiliate with Twitch and still haven't even got to $80 yet. You will see that most viewers/people aren't going to be interested in subbing for you. I even have mates that I game with and they stream and I subscribe to them and meanwhile they never sub back to me 🙁

Yea. Most I got so far was $100 donation day before I got affiliated. Since then I only got one sub from a friend as a Gratz on hitting affiliate. Other then that, nothing so far.

It's incredibly hard to grow on Twitch because of it's lack of discoverability. I have a stream showcase on my site that supports both Twitch and Trovo streams, it helps a little but i see other platforms like Trovo showing more viewership than Twitch, not sure why but it just seems to be how the cookie crumbles. Making money on twitch is difficult, as Empire said, but the thing is, if you started streaming WITH the goal of making money from it, you've already lost the race and will struggle to find any kind of success. Never expect to make a dime when you first start out. It's taken some of the streamers I know YEARS to see any kind of viable income from streaming. So why do they do it? Because they enjoy it, not because it's an 'easy job' because the fact of the matter is, it's not an easy job.
