One of the most important tools available at the disposal of a forum administrator to inform members about recent happenings in a forum as well as to recall members is a forum newsletter. However, the frequency of newsletters, if not regulated, will be a turn off for members.

What do you think is the most appropriate frequency of newsletters? Once in a month or once in two months or any other rates?

I think once a month is the best way then it can get members informed of what has been happening on the forum. Plus if it's once a month it will look better and have a lot more information than one which is weekly. It is a good way to get members back on the forum, if they see a lot is happening on there.

I try an send once a month but my emailing isn't always running right and return in a error. Been like it for about a year and it's setup right but the CDN isn't

So when I send emails out it goes in there spam folder (sucks) or doesn't get sent out

I prefer to keep my frequency to once in two months unless I have some REALLY BIG things happening.

I haven't really used Newsletters all that much, but I do think they can be effective in bringing members back who haven't been around in awhile if done right.

Maybe 2-6 times every 5 months at most. Only for events or happenings, though.

I send out a newsletter once a month in order to not bombard members but also keep it semi-frequent. It includes announcements, events/competitions if there are any going on, goals achieved, interesting threads, tech changes (i.e new theme, plugin, functionality), MOTM, and other things like that.
