Newsletters

Do you send out newletters to your members? I'm going to start making monthly e-mail newsletters to summarise what's happened that month.

I will be starting to do the same very soon on Business Advice Forum. VB has a plug in from Vertical Response and I will be using that (at least to start with) to send the emails. How do you plan on sending the emails?

On MyBB there is a mass mail option.

Sounds good Flux. Monthly newsletters could be great for your forum, they should serve as a good reminder to your members and help increase traffic and activity at your site.

I've never really sent out Newsletters to my members. If big updates have occurred I'll send out a message explaining those new changes and updates. I don't think it was ever really nessicary on a forum I ran to send out newsletters.

I've never really done this, but do plan on it, you just gotta be careful not to over load your members.
