Next PR update?

Apparently expect it at September/October, but who cares? What the hell is PageRank going to get you at this day and age? PR0 domains can easily outrank PR4 ones, as PageRank is really minor.

True, but at the same time, how many large sites for high competitive keywords don't have the first ranking position and a high PR, with a low PR site out ranking them? Not many, if any.

Also, wouldn't it be great to have a PR 8 site? It would mean you've been linked on active, high ranking and high PR sites, so in turn, you will most likely generate traffic from that.

Anyway, the next visible PR update should be around the end of September, but that's a guess through patterns. Your PR is constantly updating, but visibly updated every 3-4 months, or so the patterns speak.

On what KMRock said about ads, high traffic sites do better in selling ads, because the buyer actually gets something out of it, ie. human traffic, whereas PR is mainly for GoogleBot to determine PR.

The point about "who cares" is that you should always remember that the goal is always Traffic, and not Rankings. That was the one rule SEO for Dummies stressed out (I've read enough of it).

As long as you have unique and useful content on your site and you update it frequently and it is attractive and interesting to visitors, you don't need to bother about pagerank.

You just don't go to a site because it has 10 PR, but because it has the information you're looking for.

Indeed, people are more likely to link to a page or use your page as a resource for their articles if a website has a consistent amount of interesting and unique content or services which is updated on a daily or weekly basis.

I rarely visit a site because of PR although search engines, advertisers, and link exchange partners might care more for PR then the average person.

True, although, the site you visit will most likely have a good PR, because you were able to find that site out of the millions out there, which is due to good traffic, linked from high active web sites, which in turn usually has high PR.

You're right.
But as I have said, you don't have to bother about that as long as you make what I stated in the last post.
If you do that the way you're supposed to do it and also if you have a little bit of patience your pagerank will increase shortly and then you'll enjoy the benefits (if any).

PageRank is very important in making more money on your site. A PR for allows you to sell links at $10 a month and a PR5 jumps to $20 a month so it is important to some people like me.
