After the owners voted 31-0 to approve the new 10 year CBA last week, all 32 player reps voted to approve it earlier today. So what does that mean? Lockout OVER. There is a tentative schedule that has teams being able to sign unrestricted free agents either today or tomorrow. Team facilities opening tomorrow, and Free Agency beginning in a few days.

So, who's ready for some football?!

This is great news. I knew we'd have a 2011 season. I am so ready for football; football helps me go through the first semester of school without going insane, so I can not live without it. 😛

Aw, man, I was hoping the lockout would continue so there would be more hockey coverage to replace football. 😛

😛 Me too. NBA helps me with the second semester. I hope there will be a basketball season, too.

Eh, honestly, I could've done without football this year. Mainly, because I'm tired of having to read 500 Facebook statuses related to the Pats every single Sunday.

I could live without hearing about the Pats ever again, and I don't even live in the northeast.

I'm glad it's over. I'm very happy that the Panthers re-signed Deangelo Williams and then picked up Adi Kunalic yesterday. Hurray for sports!

I am glad to see that Matt Hasslebeck is finally leaving the Seahawks; I believe the Seahawks have held him back. His career was about average, I think he'd be up there with the talks of quarterbacks like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning if he had not ended up on such a horrible team. 😛

The Titans are showing interest in him, he would be a great addition to teach their two young quarterbacks; rookie Jake Locker and second-year Rusty Smith. I have a feeling Jake Locker is a draft bust though.

Matt Hasselbeck is as good as a Titan. Not sure if it's official or not yet, but he's been signed. Along with Donovan McNabb being traded to the Vikings. Bruce Gradkowski going to the Bengals, and Tarvaris Jackson to the Seahawks.

Alex Smith is staying with the Niners, which I like. I'd love nothing more than for him to have a great season to shove it in everyone's nose.

Finally! I've been waiting for it to end for awhile now, I'm glad everything is back to normal. Let's watch some football! I can't wait till fantasy comes around. 🙂

Bruce Gradkowski is going to the Bengals even though the Bengals already said that they aren't trading Carson Palmer? Weird. I would love to see Bruce Gradkowski have a breakout season, I have his autograph. Tarvaris Jackson going to the Seahawks probably isn't a very good move by the Vikings, what do they do if Donovan McNabb gets injured or just plays horrible? Then we'd probably end up seeing a learning young quarterback starting.

Dream on.

I'm glad it ended, but it annoyed me to no end. I was at work closing down the sport's room and that stupid press conference just kept on and on and it irked me.

But, looking forward to some Steelers Butt Kicking action this year.

It's basically up to Carson Palmer. The Bengals are taking a rare stand and are not going to trade him. So he's either going to retire or keep playing.

As for the Vikings, I don't think Tarvaris Jackson would have helped much. If McNabb gets hurt, then the Christian Ponder era starts (I actually really like him, despite hating the Vikings). Or if he gets hurt, then insert Joe Webb.

Also, according to ESPN, the Patriots have just won the Super Bowl. Trading for Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco. I can't help but think this is going to blow up in their face.

I really wish the Steelers would sign a cornerback though. I'd love to see Nnamdi Asomugha in black and yellow, but we all know that's not gonna happen. They need someone besides Ike Taylor though because they've been torched way too many times for having as good a defense as they do.

The Steelers released Antwaan Randle El and Max Starks. Could this be so the Steelers will have room in their salary cap to sign Plaxico Burress?

Well they were over the cap anyway. But from what I've heard, both the Giants and the Steelers are interested in adding Plax. Sad to hear about Max Starks and Randle El though.

I know they are over the cap, but I have a feeling Plaxico Burress really wants to join a team that can win. The Giants simply aren't winning anymore, the Steelers lost this past Super Bowl, but the Steelers are winners. I don't think the Steelers will or even can give Plaxico Burress the contract and money he is probably looking for. I'm really sad that they released Randle El, I was hoping they'd have Plaxico Burress, Mike Wallace, Hines Ward, and Randle El all on one team. That's easier said than done though. It also would have been nice if they would have gotten Santonio Holmes back, but it's too late for that.
