Thought itd be nice to have a thread to talk about the NHL. Talk about whatever is happening or your fav team.

Where do you guys think Kovalchuk is going? LA Kings pulled out of the bidding, leaving the Islanders and their rumored $100 million 10-year contract (not even the KHL team interested is offering that much), the KHL, or his current Devils. I cant see him re-signing with the Devs. And it seems he cares more about the money - he turned down the Kings! So Islanders seem like the runner-ups now.

Oh, and the Oil should be signing Taylor Hall today 😀

Not as good as last season. Too many changes.

Hall is gonna do great! I dont expect them to make the playoffs but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.

Pens have a really solid defence now. They might be in the finals again.

Pens lost Gonchar.. that's a big loss.

Montreal was stupid trading Halak for two garbage players.

The Pens got 2 good dman to replace Gonchar and I'd say their defence is better than last season.

As for the Habs, if Price doesnt sign they are screwed. But Halak was the only that had real value out of the 2. I think their new GM hesitated and went for the 1st offer they got.

The NHL is fighting it. He wasnt expected to play all 17 seasons so the NHL wants it redone which I dont think is fair to the Devils. If Kovalchuk rejects the new offer LA is gonna get involved again.
