The 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street remake promised Freddy, fear, and teen terror—but jump scares, over-explained backstory, and awkward tone left fans dreaming of the original.

Honestly I liked this remake. I like that they went into Freddy's backstory a bit, it shows why he is the way he is. My wife enjoyed it too, I remember watching this in theaters when it came out. Is it as good as the original film? Not by a long shot, but it's not bad either.

I loved the cast especially Jackie, Connie and Clancy but the rest. Well yeah.

It's good to pass the time but it should have always been Kevin Bacon. Even Robert has endorsed him.

There is actually some backstory in the first episode of Freddys Nightmares [TV Series].

While Jackie is a fantastic actor Freddy is Robert and vice versa. It's not just some guy in a mask like Friday 13th, Halloween, etc.
