It was a bit of a last minute/extravagant purchase but the midnight release caught my attention. I convinced my husband to go with me to Best Buy but as we were walking to the end of the line we saw the employee hand out the last few vouchers to the ones that were about 3 or 4 people ahead of us (we were so close!). I was a little sad but was willing to go home after that. My husband tried to search for other Best Buys in the area and I told him I don't want to drive around for this. I suggested we swing by Walmart since we were already near just to see. Sure enough there were 8 people in line for it in the electronics section and the lady at the front of the line told us that they have 14. So yep, we ended up getting it. I've never played Zelda before, I must say... this is one awesome game. 🙂
I haven't gotten one yet. I will probably get one either for my birthday in July or for Christmas. Usually, I am unable to get one when it first comes out but that's alright with me. I like to see what games come out for that console first before I actually purchase one.

I will wait until they drop in price, I don't like getting consoles early, as they have potential to be faulty and that will mean I have to send them back and it can be a pain in the ass. So I prefer getting them a couple of months after a release date.
I'm focused on my PS4 right now. Nintendo is for little kids these days, the new system might have a couple cool games pandering to the nostalgic 30+ age group who played NES & SNES growing up but after that, it's all kiddy games.
I can appreciate what you guys are saying for sure. The graphics on the Xbox One and PS4 are definitely on a whole different league compared to the Nintendo Switch. (We have them all.) The Switch is a whole different experience in my opinion. It's pretty neat to have the option to play it on the TV or as a handheld. Lately my husband has been playing Zelda on his own profile and I've been playing Final Fantasy XV on the PS4 and it's pretty awesome that we can both be doing both at the same time next to each other.
