No Quick Reply? - phpBB3

Okay guys, I'm stumped. 😳

On my forum (http://www.forumstylization.com/forum) I have enabled quick reply on each individual board (clicked the yes dot so it was filled in on the board settings page) and have enabled it as a global setting on my forum. Still the quick reply will not appear.

What do I do?

Try to reinstall phpbb or it is not working for that skin

Make sure your style is made for phpBB 3.0.6+. If it is older then it will not have the quick reply code in the template.

Exactly, if your board is running 3.0.7-PL-1 then skins made for 3.0.5 and under will not show the quick reply box. You can contact the author of the style and see if they will be updating the skin but if not you can manually by the file changes.

Darn it. Never even bothered to look when I chose the style. Off to go see what version it was made for. Thanks everyone. 🙂

EDIT: It says for phpBB: 3.0.7. Let me try another style.

If it's 3.0.7 then it should have the quick reply added. Check in the viewtopic_body.html file for a reference to a html file called "quickreply_editor.html", then check your styles folder for that file.

sometimes even some latest styles have problem showing the quick reply box one of such theme for instance was [KIT] Underground.

Sapper, you rock. That was exactly it and the only thing I didn't try. I totally forgot to try purging the cache! Thanks so much.

I learned very quickly with phpBB that no matter how many times you refresh, theres nothing like a good purge to clear the system !! lol
