What do you do when your forum is down?

My forum was down earlier, and I talked to my favorite person in the world and then went to sleep. 😵

Just as I was getting the rope, it came back up.
 
Ooooooh I had that for a while, damn forumotion were messing about with their servers, back and forth, back and forth. Truely frustrating. Twiddle your thumbs, go make a drink, grab a snack, wash your hair, bash the hell out of the keyboard and pray to mickey mouse it comes back soon 😉
 
Mickey Mouse always ignores my prayers, so I've started praying to George Carlin.
 
I check to make sure it wasn't my fault then I sit back and post here :lol:
 
Well, past week or so my host has had issues with their new servers, so my forum (and others) were down for a while.
 
If my host has any issues, which is extremely rare, I will contact support and ask how long it will be for. If over 24 hours, I'll mass email the members (I have a list of emails pre stored).

If not, I'll do whatever I usually do...
 
Go to other forums, play some yahoo games, get off the comp.. If I do any of those things, come back and its still down.. Then i will investigate further.
 
Yeah I check my ACP for my host, it shows me why it's down and the ETA till it comes back up.

Then I go and do something else. Like, go outside with mates or something.
 
If my favourite forum is down, I just go to my second favourite. :lol:
 
My new is down right now as the login and register buttons link to the old domain which no longer exists. it is very annoying 🙁

Glad your forum was up. If my forum was down.... I'll ask the hosting... if they don't know what's the problem... I'll lay in my bed.... thinking about the good memories of my forum.

Some people say that forum downtime isn't a valid reason to get extremely upset. Those people haven't been post whores before. xD
 
If my forum goes down, it's my own fault because I am staff of the server is on. I usaualy use a 3rd NS record on my domains, and the 3rd one points to a host that never goes down.
 
IF it happens, then I usually wait for a while. If nothing happens then I try to contact support and see how long it'll last.

I contact my host immediately.
