Yes No Maybe?
Usually stick with nokias, not sure any other good nokias are out in the uk for a while, don't want 6" either

If Nokia's are your thing, go for it. The camera on it looks pretty cool.

But in my opinion, an Android or iPhone would be money better spent.

Yeah, a fan on Nokia and never really liked apple/android so I reckon i'll be getting it

I don't see why people need a 6" screen or a 40+ megapixel camera on their phone. If you need a camera that good, buy a professional camera. As for the 6" screen I'd feel like I was holding a slab to my face when I was on the phone lol! Having said all that, I think 4" is too small and 8 megapixels isn't enough anymore.

yeh im not getting it for the camera just a fan of nokias and its the best non 6" lol

That's fair enough then 🙂 I don't get people that buy a phone for its camera! A phone is a phone not a camera

We've moved way past this line of thought. So I'm guessing your phone just sends messages and calls, and that's it. Even something simple as a phonebook now means it's more than a phone, it's a personal database. One could argue you could just carry a handwritten phonebook. But for convenience, you would want that simple feature on your phone.

I have an iPhone 5, so I'm not saying we should be stuck in the dark ages of a phone just being a phone. What I'm trying to say is 40+ megapixel cameras on a phone seems a little excessive.

Nokia. My first cell phone ever, and I had used it for a while until I learned the beauty of Samsung. I'm way more used to Android at the moment so using Windows 8 for phone sounds meh to my ears. Also because a friend who's using it has some kind of disadvantages compared to me, lol. It looks quite pretty, though. Nokia tends to play with colors, I guess.

only downside really are lack of some apps, but that doesn't really affect me

Yeah. I have an Android, and to be honest I only use a handful of apps that you wouldn't find on Windows Phone (mostly games), but some people are real Android/iOS junkies lol.

Then again I have an Atrix 4G that freezes every minute or so and the WiFi randomly shuts on/off from time to time.

agreed, im loving the camera on this bad boy, deent screen size too, only downside for me is only 720p but the screen is so clear anyway it doesn't make much of a difference

LOL, anyway, I do have a camera but I don't see myself going around with it, but as I am always trying to snapshot something cool, why not, anyway, this phone looks impressive

The resolution on the Lumia 1020 is actually 1280 x 768 px, which categorized, is WXGA. The reason for the 'low' resolution is the result of the operating system's limited support for any resolution past this, until update 3, which was released after this phone.

This has been a constant limitation for Windows Phone, when compared to its rivals; especially Android.
