Noob Skin Question

I have a noob skin question just to give you a bit of background info this is my first forum and I never even knew about allt hat came with it, and I'm starting to learn that a good skin encourages people to join.. my forum is phpbb3 based and I'm not even sure they let you use custom skins, there seems to be pre-set colours there lame :/

but ya if I could id really like something black or grey very much along the lines of here -razz-

Does anyone know if you can do this is phpbb3 or how I go about this

With free phpBB hosts you can only use skins/templates they have uploaded and installed on their servers.

If you go under the styles tab in the acp you will then get all the skins you are able to install and use.

ok I thought this was the case... that's a bit shit then .. but I guess I don't mind the prostyle boards too much

Your forum doesn't have a styles request but they are adding some more styles soon.

Other than that you could pay for some hosting or find a free host that offers something like cpanel and then you could install phpbb3 and then add anything you want.
