So do you think something big is coming with them? Do you think a war could break out?

This is the latest on the North Korea situation, with them saying they will attack the US and her allies.

North Korea has threatened a "thousand-fold" military retaliation against the US and its allies if it is provoked.

I think the situation is very volatile, but really - what have they got to gain. They can't take on the whole world, and any attack made by them on anyone else will guarantee the rest of the world being involved.

Nothing is going to happen.

Frankly they are just doing all these tests to simply further the propaganda machine on their people. There is a serious famine going on, much like the one after the Great Leap Forward in China during the late 50's, and their people are losing faith. By doing all these ridiculous tests they are looking stronger than ever to their own people.

There is no war going on.

Kim Jong-Il is very sick, and yes he will likely die soon. His son is set to take up the reigns ( confirmed when the NK Press now refer to him as " Brilliant Comrade ".

However, the NK Military leadership doesn't really approve of Kim Jong-il's son, and some sort of internal struggle might happen.

Also going up against the US is pretty much asking to be nuked and distroyed.

The Korean War? You (as well as South Korea) attacked them for being communist. That may have annoyed them slightly.

What are you talking about?

China is probably the best ally we have right now. Without them we'd have no economy and without us they'd have nothing.. We have a very symbiotic relationship with China right now and if you've been following what's going on they've taken our side in this whole arguement with the DPRK.

Yup thats one of things thats said about in the article. That North Korea have set up long range rocket bases down their East Coast so they can fire at China, but im sure they no they would be screwed. They have just tested something nuclear so it would most likely mean they havent got any weapons of that kind, and they have just been testing long range missiles.

The Korean War? You (as well as South Korea) attacked them for being communist. That may have annoyed them slightly.

The Korean War started when North and South Korea tried to unite under a single government, like they used to be.

The negotiations ended when North Korea invaded the South, and the United States came to help South Korea.

So again, why is North Korea mad at the USA for coming to aide SK when they were invaded?

The main reason you went to aide the South was because the North were communists, its was the whole battle of communism. You didnt want another country becoming communist especially when it was so close to you. And they are probably mad because that war really had nothing to do with you, at the time if the North weren't communist you wouldnt have stepped in.
