hi
I am new into forum administration. In my forum no members are being registered. Is there any trick to draw attention? I already have 2 contests in my forum. So would like to get a few members to participate in that!

I assume this is your forum from this topic: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=82428

You should start a few interesting discussions. Then advertise and eventually, once someone finds something interesting, most likely they might join and participate in the discussion, 😉

I am new into forum administration.

This will be the reason you have started the topic then... Little thing about forum administration you need to know. Members do not come over night. It takes months and years to get a good member and post base. Keep the forum going, participate in exchanges, keep advertising and maybe try postloop.com

Keep it going, it takes time.

I know everyone loves big member stats, but I'd rather have 10 members who are active than say, 100 who have 0 posts, it's a stat which personally I don't care about 😛

Exactly Zinc, xpl0iter have you posted your contests around the web?

First thing you need to do is fill up your forum with content. Most of the time people don't just do it for you. 😛 When you have a few threads try inviting your friends - online or in real life, it works. 🙂 Then try a contest and advertise on other similar forums. 🙂 Good luck!

Postloop is worth a try. Just make sure you don't get too fixated on it. You can even get free posts and earn money, too, when you use Postloop.

If you guys don't mind please join my forum!

Those are actually very good stats, the biggest thing tip that I can give you too keep advertising. It might take a bit of time, but the more topics you have on a wide variety on promotion forums and forums that you know some people on.

Whether people know it or not, when working on your board in its early life, people will spend most of their time advertising their new board then posting on it 😀

Very good point about new boards and time spent advertising.

To be honest, the only think I can really say is to advertise your site and the competitions. Also make sure there is new content on your site daily so people stay interested.

Other than that, you have to keep working hard and I wish you the best of luck!
