Do you have any sections which do not increment post count? Do you think this is a good idea?

I don't have any, personally. I guess I don't have a forum games section. I guess it makes since not to increment post count for a section like that, but I'm not sure I'd enable that feature if I had such a section.

I don't, if members want to hang out in game threads and enjoy that I don't see why they can't have that reflected in their post count.

At the moment I don't, but I have had sections like that in the past on other forums that had boards for things that really didn't pertain at all to the subject matter of the forum (forum games, etc.)

On my forum, the forum games section doesn't increment post count but every other section on the forum does.

I recently added a forum games section to FE. It's currently set to increment post count, although if it becomes an issue, I can always unset it.

I did add a "Top Thread Starters" board and I removed the private forums from being added into the totals. I want to encourage posters to add real content to the site for new members to enjoy.

I used to automatically associate forum games section with post-count-disabled, but now that I think about it again I wonder why post counts should be disabled in such section or in a hidden section. After all, a post is a post.

Nope. A lot of people enable it for their "Forum Games" section, but I don't. But then again, the name of my forum is "Spam Heaven."

My forum is a general discussion forum so there's no need to disable post count.

I disable the post counts in the "Testing Area" for AtomBB for.. Well.. Obvious reasons.

Due to the unique system, these posts aren't counted in the global overall counters either (if a post isn't good enough to increment someone's post count then, do you really want the global counters to be incremented?).

Does AtomBb decide whether or not a post is a spam post or a legitimate one, and I'm assuming it won't be accounted for post count wise if it thinks the post is spam or how does that work?
