Not the end for promotion forums?

I see new and new promotion forums being made daily.

Does anyone else think it is not the end for new promotion forums?

What I mean by that is, even if you put lots of work in and promote your promotion forum regularly it can still work out. Even at this moment in time. 😉

You will obviously need unique services, promote often, etc..

Your views?

I can see them dying by this time next year definetely. The more promotion forums getting created, copying FP, are going to get no where not unless they think of several new unique services that will get used. I think some forums should just add a Promote Your Forum bit as it will get used other than something that's all ready getting used. I plan on sticking round here for the next century unless someone brings out a half decent promotion forum that will get used and attract visitors.

I don't think so... really, providing the right person is in charge, I believe any forum of any genre can be successful and I can see promotion forums being around in a year.

I have to say the new promotion forums will die off, because there are just way too many and also they are just copying FP and all the other major promotion forums.

From what I can tell, FP has the market cornered. It is funny, though... in the FOTM comp here, half the forums entered are promotion forums.

I don't think it's the end really, I think to many people copy FP to much though, getting some ideas is fine but I've seen some that are pretty much identical really.

It's oversaturation. Once this glut of new sites dies back away the good ones will still be with us. This happens in a lot of genres, you have a few forums on it and it suddenly rises in popularity and literally hundreds of new ones get made. Almost all of them fail, because there aren't enough members to go around.

Not to mention, most are not properly run 😉 A strong staff with a strong admin makes all the difference.

There are still more Gaming forums than promotion ones around. I'm sure if the motivation and audience is still there for them, then they'll still be around.

Very true, although santanoice this topic is mainly directed at Promotion Forums, so it's understandable why the comments would be made for Promotion Forums 😛

It just seems as though people think there are 'other' rules for promotion forums. While to some degree, yes they do, but that is a pretty 'forum-universal' rule. 😛

I definitely agree with you there - 100%. Although I don't think theezy's post was on of them, but it still happens 😛

There are still opportunities for new promotion forums. The trick is to offer something new and innovative. Copying what's there already is not going to get you anywhere, unless you can significantly improve on it.

Its not the end for promotional forums, its the end for decent promotional forums. ;D Hireem, Mad Ads, etc. Gone.
