Nulled Forums

Out of curiosity, Kino, how on earth are we supposed to post in this thread without discussing something illegal?

Also, it kind of kills the possibilities for discussion if someone cannot explain why they are in favour of nulled scripts (if that's what you meant).

While you are permitted (as opposed to encouraged) to discuss illegal concepts such as nulled forums, please do not under any circumstances discuss means of obtaining or maintaining illegal software.

So if I told you guys I had some marijuana, what would happen? Would I get arrested? XD

In addition there are also the problems that you won't be getting any updates with the pirated software. You're on your own. And chances are if you ripped software you're not the type who can engineer security patches, etc. so you'd be doubly screwed.

There are plenty of "reliable" people out there that make sure nulled software is kept up-to-date. You just have to find them.

There are many without viruses and backdoors added into the code as well.

I personally don't like nulled software, but it's one of those things you can't really do anything about. I'd rather just use free software if I couldn't afford the paid versions.

It seems we are taking a habit to posting personal issues publicly. It's called a private message.

The posts in question have been removed.

Nulled forums cause problems on your forum. So just buy the effing forum software instead of finding a way to get it for free.

In all fairness though with this argument, using software when you didn't pay for it, it's the same as taking an idea/script and not giving credit to the author.

There are many forums out there that copy FP for example to it's entirety and that's not fair on FP and also looks bad for the owner. If the software was pirated, I don't think anyone would use it.

The problem is finding those "reliable" people, it's hit and miss. I'm figuring too that they likely don't work for free, either? If they don't, then what's the point of using nulled software vs. paying for software to begin with?

I guess it's about how knowledgeable you are.

I dont understand why anyone would do it in the 1st place. If you dont have a license, then use a free alternative.. Its better that having to worry about getting shut down.

Using nulled scripts is illegal so I completely disagree with using them. Why even use a forum software illegally when there are so many free bulletin board softwares out there? If you're looking for something similar to vB then use MyBB. It's free and from what I've heard it has a similar admin interface. Or of course you could just use phpBB - obviously its the best choice out there. :great:

Now if you have no moral sense of what's wrong or right then at least consider that your forum WILL be found out to be using pirated scripts either by your members, your host, or the paid script retailer itself. Not to mention it will totally be hacked by some 1337 h4x0r and your members will mob you once they're email is submitted to a zillion spam engines and their password - which they so carefully made the same as their paypal, facebook, email, and bank accounts - is in the hands of some Turkish rogue.

NOTE: And even though my username is "Null-11" I still condemn the use of nulled, illegal, and pirated software and scripts. So don't get that confused. In fact my name has nothing to do with nulled scripts. My origin remain a mystery. 😎

I think there shoult be a world wide orgnization where one can report about those who are running nulled scripts so the orgnization can take strict action on it. thats the only solution i can see

The Business Software Alliance does some work towards that.

I do understand and agree with your point. On the other hand you might ask, how "reliable" and trustworthy is someone who is prepared to get paid for doing something illegal?
