A John F Kennedy was killed in office and he wasn't black. All presidents risk this when they get elected. I'M sure with it being 2008, he will have all sorts of highly advanced security.

On top of that, only 4 presidents in the history of the US have actually been assassinated, 3 of which happened before 1901, the other being Kennedy's which was in the 60's.
