So I want to get some interviews for my site from some actors, actresses, directors etc. What would be a good way to try? I have messaged a couple of the actors I know on Facebook and awaiting their reply. But if I was to deal with agents etc what's the best way?
I was thinking the best way was to email someone through a series of questions and they send me their answers and I publish it as a blog post.
I did try contacting the agent for Anthony Daniels so will see what happens but I highly doubt he would seeing as it's only a small blog and he is incredibly busy.
I have also contacted the partner of John Glover to see if he can be interviewed as I have been a big fan of his for years.
That could be tough since you don't have much yet on the site for them to see how it would help them out. Maybe start out with some local actors from the theater and see how that goes first? Build it up from there?
Good luck even getting a reply, I mean it's going to be hard to get anything or even get a yes. I mean even so there agent will send a report back saying no and that they have not even passed the message to the actors. Have you got plan B
Many years ago, when I was doing interviews with the writers on Hubpages, I was mainly doing written interviews. I sent questions and they sent their answers. However, I doubt that you can get interviews form actors, especially the established ones. You need to be a really big media person for that purpose.
Probably not. I have chatted to a couple of lesser known people who have offered to help. I guess the more people regardless of status the more likely some of these bigger stars may want to check it out.
I've got one from an independent filmmaker and have asked some others who are independent. Obviously I wasn't expecting people like Johnny Depp to jump at the offer but the more independent people I ask and interview I guess the better chance of getting others.
