Ocean's 8

This is a sequel to the first Ocean's movie. I think I had seen Ocean's 11. Anyway, we were poised to watch Ocean's 8 when the heavy rains interfered. Now it's not in the theaters anymore. I just want to see it because I am amused that George Clooney is one of the producers. And the cast is heavy that included Rihanna aside from Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett. Okay, it's a powercast of women.

I seen all of the older movies over the years. Ocean's 8 isn't the same! Females??? not to be disrespectful but that's out of order. It's no longer what the movie is been about.

I loved Ocean's 8. Same ideas just done by females in a well directed way. 🙂

I haven't seen this one yet. I dunno if it'll be in the theaters when I get back to Seatown, but if it is, I might give it a watch. I haven't seen any of the Oceans movies TBH.

Comparing things to the original isn't good. Like the new Ghostbusters compared to the Bill Murray one is not a comparison. Of course, in the "male" sense, the old one is better, but the new one is a different take on the idea - but of course, it won't be popular with most males and Mad Magazine was making fun of that.

I don’t know about that. I mean, there are movies with only men cast, might as well be movies with only women cast too. That doesn’t make it PC.

Yeah, I don't see the big deal. I guess it's cause women are traditionally seen as an oppressed group.

I finally ended up seeing this yesterday, and i really liked it. I've seen all of the Oceans movies so far.

This is interesting, so maybe these movies give us insight into why people steal. In other words, they steal because they hate who they stole from, viewing them as more evil. Exactly how could a casino be seen that way?

I haven't watched any Ocean movies. But Ocean's 8 looks so good with its famous Cast!

They need a movie making fun of the series. You know like Johnny English/Austin Powers does James Bond.

Call it "The Bumbling Fools" or something. 😀

I saw it over the summer at the movie theatre - it was fine but nothing too memorable. There was a little dig at Ukrainian's in the dialogue added with the Russian dubbing, kind of amusing but also really out of place lol.
