Offering web hosting to my members

Im currently thinking of giving some of my webspace out to rent. Im thinking of offering 4GB Webspace + 10GB Bandwidth with emails/sub-domains etc.. for £2.00 a month if they post 100 or more posts. This is to my members who join to my forums.

Would this appeal to you? or just a rubbish idea?

How can you be so sure members will make hundred of posts a month, they could just use you if your a reliable host, I would say £6.00 a month minumum.

Im not saying 100 posts a month, I mean at least 100posts then they can apply for the hosting. And im currently in the middle of doing my own web hosting site atm. The deals ill be offering on there will be from £4.00 upwards 🙂

Well you could give it a try but theres so many bigger web hosting sites that you won't be able to beat and you have to be prepared as you may get no customers assuming all these members use these hosting sites which offer a free hosting plan, a unlimited plan - £2.00 and reseller - £4.00 just a guess won't be correct though.

4 pounds/reseller is a ridiculously low price. Do you use WHM and provide cPanel accounts to your customers?

I've seen forums that offer their members free web hosting plans as an incentive to post. 100 posts a month would buy you a standard plan, 200 posts a month would buy you a business plan, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

Well its all ideas atm and i wasn't gana be setting like a limit on how many posts, But i like where you said offer deals the more they post. Could be something i could work on. And tbf anyone who offers a resellers account for that much is stupid haha. That server wouldn't take 5 mins to be full and have alot of problems.
