Official World Cup 2010 Topic

I know it's not starting for a while, but you can never start discussing too early about such a global event!

The first match is June 11th, South Africa to kick-off against Mexico. Should be a great game.

I'm looking forward to the June 12th match, England vs. United States. I'm definitely having a World Cup party on that day so we can watch the U.S. hopefully take a nice win...highly unlikely though.

Who do you want to win? Any favorites?

It's not that we suck. I mean we have some great players. Dempsey, Donovan, Howard, and Beasley. It's just that the other countries have better teamwork.

I can see Spain or Great Britain going far. Great Britain has one of the best squads, if not the best, in my opinion.

Spain have a high chance this time, England could do it...I hate the world cup, my nerves just can not cope, last time when we got knocked out, we all sat sulking for hours. It's a great atmosphere where I live, it's the only time we have the George cross flag flying, we do the hats, face paints and wear the tops and the added bonus is that there is not much time difference so the matches aren't at silly o'clock. 🙂

TBH I don't really see Britain winning, they've had better teams in the past yet it's been more than 20 years since they won.

Can't believe A.Young and Agbonlahor didn't get in the 30 man squad. Still, we have Warnock, Heskey and Milner in there.

Heskey has to start with Rooney and then Warnock at left back. Milner will be the suprise package.
